The most exciting advances in picture framing, have been in Specialist Glass. As well as protection from UV damage there are a number of ranges of glass that have been treated to become almost invisible. See below for more details.

  • Float glass & Waterwhite float glass
  • Conservation Clear offering 99% UV filter.
  • Reflection Control is an acid etched, low reflection glass that comes both with and without a UV coating.
  • Water White Anti Reflect 70% UV protection
  • Museum glass with 99% UV protection

HAPPY TO SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGE FRAME RE-USE

If you have a picture you would like framing and have a frame/s that’s perfectly good but outdated. 
Claire can:
  • Re-paint your existing frame, re-mount your picture to fit your existing frame
  • Cut a large frame down to fit a smaller picture. Please note: due to the technicalities of this option please discuss with Claire first.
The Goal:
Consumer confidence - To make the best of your picture/s using the least amount of waste possible, never compromising on quality or workmanship.
Claire also has a small selection of second hand or discontinued frames to choose from.
This does not affect your right to choose from a wide range of new sustainable mouldings and conservation grade mount board.
